A Registered Nurse provides medical care and treatment, educates patients about their conditions, and provides emotional support to patients and families. Works in hospitals, schools, clinics or community health centers. Works under the supervision of a physician or other specialist, and serves as the primary point of care for patients in a hospital setting. May specialize in emergency room work, or treatment for a particular condition, or specialize in working with infants, the elderly or other patient groups. Job Description

Facility Overview:
This facility serves youth that are male juvenile offenders. Depending upon the sentence, youth may remain in OCFS custody until the age of 21. This facility is accredited by the American Correctional Association and has a current population of approximately 33 youth. This facility is accredited by the American Correctional Association.
Job Duties:
•Job duties include, but may not be limited to: Additional duties to be discussed in detail during the interview. Maintain general medical inventory (including controlled substances. Conducting medication administration. Review the overall health conditions of youth (i.e. preparing, reviewing and evaluating nursing intervention plans). Ensure that interventions are consistent with comprehensive treatment plans. Participate in staff training. Preparing required clinical and administrative reports Maintain infection control standards; and, serve as a member of the facility's medical treatment team.
Additional Information:
Free parking is available on-site. Dress code is business casual or scrubs. Currently, there are no vaccine requirements. Supervision staff will be present when the employee is providing nursing care to youth.
Shift:
12p to 10:30p with alternating weekends, and some holidays.
Contract Length:
Up to two years #
ESJ Pay:
$49.00 - $50.00 per hour
