Note:
Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility location. Position Overview A leading healthcare facility is seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) with strong vascular surgery experience to join its perioperative team. The RN will provide comprehensive surgical nursing care before, during, and after procedures while ensuring patient safety and adherence to operating room standards. Responsibilities Provide high-quality perioperative nursing care to surgical patients in the operating room setting. Prepare patients for surgical procedures through assessment, education, and pre-operative care. Assist surgeons and procedural teams during vascular and other surgical procedures. Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans. Maintain sterile technique and ensure compliance with infection prevention standards. Prepare and stock operating rooms with sterile instruments, equipment, supplies, and linens. Monitor patient status throughout surgical procedures and respond appropriately to changes in condition. Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams. Accurately document patient care and surgical information using the electronic medical record system. Ensure adherence to hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and patient safety standards. Required Qualifications Education Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. Licensure & Certifications Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License
  • Required Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
  • Required NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification
  • Required Experience & Skills Minimum 2-3 years of recent Operating Room nursing experience.
Strong vascular surgery/procedure experience required. Experience assisting with vascular surgical cases and interventions. Proficiency with Epic Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system required. Strong clinical judgment, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment.
