Category Nursing - RN-ICU Job Type Travel Imagine yourself in the heart of upstate New York, surrounded by vibrant small-town charm, rolling hills, and access to the scenic Mohawk Valley. Clinton, NY offers a unique opportunity for critical care nursing professionals seeking to expand their expertise while discovering a new locale. During your downtime, immerse yourself in the area's rich history, sample local cuisine, or explore outdoor adventures ranging from hiking to kayaking. This travel role invites experienced ICU nurses to work in a progressive, 42-bed ICU unit, gaining valuable exposure to diverse patient populations—Neuro, Med, CTICU, and Surgical/Trauma. Here, you'll interact with seasoned professionals, collaborate within a multidisciplinary team, and observe a variety of leadership styles, all of which contribute to meaningful professional growth and add significant depth to your clinical resume.
Schedule/Hours:
6:30pm to 7:00am (overnights) Block scheduling not guaranteedQualifications:
Active NY RN license (NURSYS verification required) Minimum 2 years of recent ICU (SICU, CTICU, Trauma ICU, MS ICU, or Neuro ICU) experience Prior travel assignment experience required Up-to-date resume documenting ICU experience Two recent ICU Charge/Manager RN references Current AHA ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications Experience with CRRT and Prismaflex equipment Heart/CTICU experience highly preferred EMR experience with EPIC Drivers license matching current address Skills checklist aligned to ICU specialtyKey Responsibilities:
Deliver safe, evidence-based critical care to a range of neuro, surgical, cardiovascular, and trauma patients Float to other ICU specialties as required (excluding Behavioral Health and ER) Operate and monitor specialty equipment (IABP, CRRT, Ventriculostomy, ICP monitoring, TTM) Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and adapt practices to meet unit needs Provide leadership in rapidly evolving situationsBenefits and Perks:
