Step into a meaningful role providing essential care as a transportation nurse, making a direct impact in the life of a student with a seizure disorder. This contract opportunity offers a unique schedule—supporting morning and afternoon bus routes Monday through Friday—with responsibilities focused on monitoring and ensuring the safety and well-being of one student during transportation. The student rarely experiences seizures, so your primary focus will be vigilant observation and readiness. What you'll bring: Valid RN license (required for this position) Experience in a school setting or pediatric care, especially with seizure disorders, is highly valued Strong assessment and monitoring skills Ability to respond calmly and efficiently in the event of a medical emergency Collaborative spirit and clear communication with transportation personnel and school staff Compassionate, student-first attitude Your key responsibilities: Ride the school bus with the assigned student both mornings (6:45-8:45 am) and afternoons (12:45-3:45 pm) Monitor the student for early signs or symptoms of seizures, proactively ensuring their comfort and safety Provide immediate care and implement seizure protocols as needed Document incidents or observations and communicate pertinent information to educational and clinical teams Work closely with bus drivers, aides, and school staff to foster a safe transportation environment Enjoy a rewarding contract position with a competitive hourly pay range of $37
