Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Per Diem Pediatrician or Pediatric Nurse Practitioner to join our thriving Private Pediatric Practice. We are a brand new practice open for 3 years and growing daily. We are a close knit family and try to provide high quality and personalized care to our patients and their families. In this role, you will provide compassionate, high-quality medical care to pediatric patients in an outpatient clinic. You will utilize your expertise in pediatric medicine to perform comprehensive assessments, develop treatment plans, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to promote optimal health outcomes for young patients. Your proactive approach and clinical skills will make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and their families. Duties Conduct thorough physical examinations and health assessments of pediatric patients across diverse clinical environments. Manage acute and chronic conditions using evidence-based practices, including emergency interventions when necessary. Administer vaccinations, injections, and medications with precision and adherence to safety protocols. Utilize electronic health record (EHR) for accurate documentation of patient encounters and medical records. Participate in telehealth consultations and triage services to extend care access beyond traditional settings. Assist with discharge planning, case management, and patient education tailored to pediatric needs. Follow HIPAA guidelines diligently to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality at all times. Support infection control protocols and maintain sterile processing standards during procedures. Experience Proven experience working with children in clinical settings, including pediatric outpatient clinics or emergency rooms. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Epic, or eClinicalWorks for efficient medical documentation. Hands-on experience administering injections/immunizations Knowledge of CPT coding (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD coding (International Classification of Diseases), and billing practices related to pediatric services. Ability to work independently while maintaining excellent patient care standards in a fast-paced environment across outpatient setting.
