The Goshen Central School District is seeking a Registered Professional Nurse (RN) to provide
per diem nursing coverage for after-school activities and school-sponsored events at C.J. Hooker
Middle School and Goshen High School. The RN will provide nursing assessment, care, and emergency response for students participating
in after-school activities, including athletics, extracurricular activities, performances, and other
District-sponsored events. Duties may include responding to student illness or injury,
administering medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and District
procedures, implementing student-specific health care plans as applicable, maintaining
appropriate documentation, and collaborating with school personnel and families as needed.
Job Qualifications Required:
Current New York State Registered Professional Nurse (RN) license and registration.
Ability to provide nursing care to school-age children and adolescents within the scope of professional nursing practice. Ability to respond appropriately to student medical needs and emergencies. Ability to work collaboratively with students, families, coaches, advisors, administrators, and other school personnel.
Current compliance with applicable NYSED professional requirements
Preferred:
School nursing, pediatric, or community health nursing experience.
Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification.
Experience working with students with complex medical needs.
Familiarity with school health procedures, medication administration, and student health
