In Person Position Summary We are seeking a dedicated and patient-focused Operating Room (Circulating) Registered Nurse (RN) to join a collaborative surgical team. This role is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the operating room while delivering exceptional perioperative patient care. Ophthalmology experience is preferred but not required. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a patient-centered environment committed to providing high-quality surgical care. Key Responsibilities Provide safe, high-quality patient care throughout the perioperative process. Function as the circulating nurse during surgical procedures. Prepare and maintain the operating room before, during, and after surgery. Ensure compliance with federal, state, accreditation, and facility policies and procedures. Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the surgical team to promote positive patient outcomes. Accurately document patient care and maintain complete medical records. Monitor inventory levels and report supply or equipment needs. Assist with orientation and training of new nursing staff and surgical technicians. Foster a positive, professional, and team-oriented work environment. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities. Qualifications Required Active Registered Nurse (RN) license. Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced surgical environment. Strong organizational and time management skills. Commitment to delivering exceptional patient care and maintaining patient safety. Preferred Minimum one year of Operating Room (Circulating) experience. Ophthalmology surgical experience. Previous experience in a hospital operating room or ambulatory surgery center.
