Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Biller to join our skilled nursing facility team. The position is for 24 hrs per week and can lead to a FT position. The ideal candidate will have experience with SNF billing, Medicare, Medicaid and Insurance Claims. Must have excellent customer service to patients, families/responsible parties and insurance providers. Responsibilities Prepare and submit Medicare, Medicaid, managed care, and private insurance claims. Review resident accounts for billing accuracy and completeness. Verify insurance coverage and benefits. Follow up on unpaid, denied, and rejected claims. Post payments and adjustments accurately. Research and resolve billing discrepancies. Maintain accurate billing records and documentation. Communicate with insurance companies, residents, families, and facility staff as needed. Assist with collections and accounts receivable follow-up. Qualifications Previous SNF, nursing home, or healthcare billing experience required. Knowledge of Medicare Part A, Medicaid, managed care, and secondary insurance . Familiarity with SNF billing requirements and regulations. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Experience with billing software and electronic claims submission preferred.
