What they do
A Registered Nurse provides medical care and treatment, educates patients about their conditions, and provides emotional support to patients and families. Works in hospitals, schools, clinics or community health centers. Works under the supervision of a physician or other specialist, and serves as the primary point of care for patients in a hospital setting. May specialize in emergency room work, or treatment for a particular condition, or specialize in working with infants, the elderly or other patient groups. May work as an advanced practice specialists and prescribe medications in addition to offering specialty care.

Job Description
Type:
Five-month contract with opportunity for extension or full-time offerHours:
7:50am-4:30pm, 9:30am-5:30pm, 10am-6:30pm, Saturdays are 7:50am-12pm (rotated)Pay Range:
$45-$47 per hour based on experienceResponsibilities Include:
- Blooddraws on children of all ages
- Giving vaccines
- Measuring infants heads
- Taking temps, blood pressures, height and weight
- Hearing and vision screenings
- Running labs (Cephoid Machine)
- Patient telephone calls
- Forms, logs
- Cleaning rooms, ordering inventory
- Inputting information into Epic
- Taking sick calls and making appointments.
Requirements Include:
- New York RN licensure
- BSN in Nursing
- Previous experience working in Pediatrics is preferred
