CLINICAL NURSE LEADER- EMERGENCY ROOM

Jamaica Hospital Medical Center currently seeks experienced Clinical Nurse Leaders/Educator for immediate full-time opportunity in our, Level I Trauma Emergency Room. As Clinical Nurse Leader you will provide clinical leadership in the promotion of patient outcomes. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team. Coordinate and facilitate daily clinical activities to ensure effective use of resources.

Other duties will include:

Coordinating patient care. Measuring patient outcomes Overseeing patient transitions of care Implementing new clinical practices. Facilitating evidence-based practice on select clinical units. Building communication channels between teams. Mentoring and promoting training of nursing staff to effect best practices and advance staff skillset. Evaluating healthcare treatments and potential risks for diverse populations Implementing and overseeing safety standards in the working environment Educating patients and families

REQUIREMENTS

Must have NYS Registered Nurse License and certification. A Master's degree is required, will consider Master's in progress. Must have 3-5 years demonstrated progressive clinical nurse experience within clinical specialty area. ( Emergency Room)

Life Support Certification:

BLS, ACLS, NALS and PALS.
