Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our private school healthcare team. Duties Conduct routine health assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and health screenings for students. Administer medications, injections, and treatments in accordance with prescribed protocols and aseptic techniques. Manage acute and chronic health conditions, including emergency response procedures such as CPR and first aid. Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and school policies using electronic health record (EHR) systems. Collaborate with educators, parents, and healthcare providers to develop individualized health plans for students with special needs or disabilities. Provide health education and promote wellness initiatives tailored to the student population. Assist in managing immunization records, medication administration logs, and emergency action plans. Support students experiencing mental health or behavioral health concerns by coordinating appropriate interventions or referrals. Requirements Valid registered nurse (RN) license in the applicable jurisdiction with current certification. Prior experience working in pediatric healthcare settings or educational environments preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and infection control practices. Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR/Epic/Cerner) systems and medical documentation standards. Experience administering injections such as Botulinum toxin treatments or IV infusions is advantageous. Strong critical care experience including triage, acute pain management, and emergency response procedures. Ability to work effectively with children of all ages as well as individuals with developmental disabilities or special healthcare needs. Excellent communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and engage with students respectfully. Knowledge of Workers' Compensation law, HIPAA compliance, and confidentiality standards. Additional certifications such as Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), or Neonatal Resuscitation are desirable.
