Labor and Delivery Nurse, Registered Nurse Job Summary:
As a Labor and Delivery Nurse, Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing care and support to women during the stages of pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum. You will work closely with physicians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the safety and well-being of both mother and baby.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Monitor and assess the progress of labor and delivery 2. Administer medications and pain relief as needed 3. Assist with medical procedures such as epidurals and cesarean sections 4. Provide emotional support and education to expectant mothers and their families 5. Monitor the health and vital signs of the mother and baby throughout the labor and delivery process 6. Assist with breastfeeding and newborn care 7. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for mother and baby
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Bachelor's degree in Nursing or equivalent 2. Valid Registered Nurse license 3. Certification in Inpatient Obstetrics 4. Strong understanding of labor and delivery procedures 5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 6. Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations 7.
