1 Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring a NY RN license, Epic proficiency, and a minimum of 2 years of experience. Details Med/Surg Telemetry unit in a hospital setting Patient population includes COPD, pneumonia, non-specific abdominal pain, cellulitis, and chest pain rule-out cases Patient ratios: 1:6 on days, 1:7 on nights, and 1:8 on weekends Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM Every other weekend coverage required Epic EMR experience required Requirements Active NY RN license required Current BLS and ACLS certifications required Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience required Proficiency in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias Experience with blood product administration, central line care, PICC line management, and IV insertion/maintenance Experience with BiPAP/CPAP management, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), and non-invasive airway management Experience with CVA, seizure disorders, and substance withdrawal management Experience using Rapid Response and Code teams Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE protocols Candidate must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position 2 professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration Additional Information Any color nursing uniform is acceptable First-time travelers will not be considered for this position All time-off or scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of initial application
