Performs cardiac tests and assessments, educates patients and families about cardiac disease and preventative health care, and cares for patients after heart surgery. Works with specialized monitoring and treatment equipment. Trained to provide emergency medical care to cardiac patients. Works under the supervision of a physician. Works in hospital cardiology or intensive care units or cardiac rehabilitation programs.
Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant - Full-Time, Part-Time, or Per-Diem Opportunities Cardiology of Hudson Valley is seeking a motivated Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our growing cardiology practice led by Peter N. Sayegh, MD . We are currently hiring for full-time, part-time, and per-diem positions , offering exceptional flexibility based on your availability and career goals. Providers may work in our outpatient cardiology office located in New City, NY , in local nursing home facilities , or a combination of both settings. Compensation is based on experience, responsibilities, and full-time versus part-time status. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive cardiovascular evaluations and patient assessments. Diagnose and manage cardiovascular conditions under the supervision and collaboration of Dr. Sayegh. Interpret cardiovascular diagnostic studies, including ECGs, cardiac event monitors, and treadmill stress tests. Oversee nuclear stress testing performed by external providers. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including medication management. Conduct follow-up visits and monitor patient progress. Maintain accurate and compliant medical documentation and coding. Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and facility personnel to provide high-quality patient care. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program. Current New York State license and national certification. Prior cardiology experience preferred but not required. Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
