Urgently Hiring:
RN's for one-to-one care of a child at home and school in Montrose, NY Sunshine Homecare Services is seeking compassionate and dedicated RN's to provide one-on-one nursing care to a medically fragile child with complex health care needs full-time Monday- Sunday 7:00am- 3:00pm and 3:00pm-11:00pm.
Special skills needed:
Straight Cath, hoyer lift, seizure experience, gastrostomy tube, cough assist.

$50.00 Essential Job Duties Provide direct nursing care to child at school and home Administer medications and treatments as prescribed Monitor and document the child's health status throughout the evening Be prepared to respond to medical emergencies and provide appropriate interventions Assist with medical devices such as feeding tubes, tracheostomies, oxygen, nebulizer and catheters as needed Collaborate with family, and healthcare providers Ensure compliance with the care plan developed by the RN Case Manager and physician Document care and communicate updates with Sunshine Homecare Services and RN case manager. Use appropriate infection control procedures and safety measures. Comply with all company policies, practices, and procedures. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited RN program Current NY State RN license in good standing Minimum 2 years of pediatric nursing experience preferred Experience in school or community health nursing is a plus Must have or willing to get NPI Family prefers male nurse Certifications/Licenses Valid Nursing Degree/Diploma Active New York State RN License Current CPR Certification Skills & Abilities Strong pediatric care skills required Excellent communication with children, families, and staff Ability to handle emergency situations calmly Organized and detail-oriented documentation skills Knowledge of infection control and safety procedures Physical Requirements & Work Environment Ability to remain on school premises for scheduled hours Ability to assist with student mobility and transfers to and from school and when home Why Work for Sunshine?
