BASE SALARY Job Description:
Performs comprehensive nursing assessments and reassessments. Prioritizes care based on patient acuity and clinical presentation. Initiates emergency interventions and protocols. Administers medications, IV therapy, and treatments safely and accurately. Monitors patient response to treatment and modifies care as appropriate. Assists with procedures such as intubation, sedation, central line placement, and resuscitation. Conducts triage using standardized acuity tools and reassesses waiting patients. Participates in resuscitations and emergency response situations. Supports airway management and hemodynamic stabilization. Promotes patient safety, dignity, and respect. Communicates effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team. Participates in bedside handoff and care coordination. Maintains accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record. Identifies and reports safety concerns and participates in quality initiatives. Supports education, mentoring, and professional development.
Requirements/Qualifications:
Currently licensed as a Professional Registered Nurse in New York State
BCLS/ACLS/PALS
required Bachelors preferred Basic Arrhythmia course preferred NIHSS Moderate Sedation Child Abuse certification
