Compensation Mount Sinai South Nassau provides a salary range in good faith determination of potential compensation to comply with the New York State law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The Student Nurse Intern (SNI) is a trained member of the Nursing Department who performs specific tasks under the direction/supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) preceptor. The SNI understands and complies with the Philosophy, Standards, Objectives and Policies of the Department as well as their respective scope of practice.
Qualifications Responsibilities:
Education Required Must complete in-house orientation program Successful completion of 2 semesters (minimally) of hospital-based clinical practicum while enrolled in an accredited nursing program. Completion of SNE Orientation and Program OR Designated Support Staff Orientation. Experience And Skills Excellent interpersonal skills Speaks, reads and writes English License/Certifications CPI BLS required for Emergency Department Student Interns only Working Conditions Other information: Working Conditions Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) worn Frequent, prolonged standing/walking. Lifts, positions and/or transfers patients/equipment.
