A Registered Nurse provides medical care and treatment, educates patients about their conditions, and provides emotional support to patients and families. Works in hospitals, schools, clinics or community health centers. Works under the supervision of a physician or other specialist, and serves as the primary point of care for patients in a hospital setting. May specialize in emergency room work, or treatment for a particular condition, or specialize in working with infants, the elderly or other patient groups. May work as an advanced practice specialists and prescribe medications in addition to offering specialty care.

Full-Time Shift 1 Job Description The registered nurse promotes and restores patient's health by completing the nursing process; collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members; providing physical and psychological support to patient, visitors, and families. Education And Credentials Graduate of an accredited nursing program required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing from accredited nursing program preferred. Current NY licensure as a Registered Nurse required. BLS upon hire or within 3 months required. ACLS
  • Within 1 year of hire required. Experience ED
  • One year of acute clinical experience required. Surgical Services and ICU
  • Six (6) months of acute clinical experience preferred.
