RNs - Make a Difference in Correctional Healthcare Tioga County Jail is actively hiring a Registered Nurse for a Part-Time position. This role works 8-hour shifts. About the role Tioga County Jail is looking for a reliable and qualified Registered Nurse to care for individuals in our custody. What you'll do Provide direct patient care to incarcerated individuals Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) Collect vital signs, lab specimens, and patient health data Support sick call and assist providers with procedures Administer medications and maintain accurate MAR documentation Monitor patient conditions and report changes Conduct rounds and document patient progress Follow infection control and safety protocols Maintain medication security, including narcotics accountability Assist with patient transfers and required reporting Qualifications Graduate of an accredited vocational nursing program Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New York Strong understanding of nursing care principles Ability to recognize signs of mental illness, emotional disturbances, or substance dependency Proficient in phlebotomy and administering PPD tests
