Job Description

Category Nursing - RN-Operating Room Job Type Contract An exciting opportunity awaits experienced Operating Room Registered Nurses seeking their next contract role. This position focuses on providing specialized perioperative care in a dynamic surgical environment. The ideal candidate will bring substantial experience and expertise, especially in handling a variety of procedures.
Schedule/Hours:
3x12 hour evening shifts (36 hours/week) One weekend every 3 to 4 weeks (evening shift) On-call requirement: 1 to 2 shifts per week
Qualifications and Experience:
Active RN license with BLS certification 3-5 years of experience as an OR RN, preferably with travel assignments Proficiency in supporting general, GYN, GU, ENT, orthopedics, and robotic surgeries Trauma surgery experience preferred but not required Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure situations and adapt to diverse surgical teams
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver safe, effective nursing care to patients during all phases of perioperative procedures Collaborate closely with surgical team members, including surgeons and anesthesia providers Follow strict protocols for infection control, patient safety, and documentation Prepare operating rooms and maintain equipment integrity Participate in on-call rotation to ensure continuous coverage for emergent cases Provide patient education and support pre- and post-operatively as needed
