A Registered Nurse provides medical care and treatment, educates patients about their conditions, and provides emotional support to patients and families. Works in hospitals, schools, clinics or community health centers. Works under the supervision of a physician or other specialist, and serves as the primary point of care for patients in a hospital setting. May specialize in emergency room work, or treatment for a particular condition, or specialize in working with infants, the elderly or other patient groups. Salary is negotiable based on experience, willingness to travel, and bilingual skills. Must be willing to travel throughout Westchester County and neighboring counties. Responsibilities Conduct admission assessments and biannual reassessments for patients. Develop and implement individualized plans of care based on nursing assessments, patient needs, and physician orders. Provide education and support to patients, families, and paraprofessional staff. Conduct as-needed nursing visits for patients requiring additional support. Communicate changes in patients' conditions, treatments, or medications promptly to the agency. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (ADN or BSN). Current New York State Registered Nurse license and registration. Home care experience preferred. Bilingual (Spanish) preferred. Candidates with bilingual skills may be eligible for a higher rate of pay. Reliable vehicle and valid driver's license required for travel to patient homes. Willingness to travel throughout Westchester County and neighboring counties.
