A Long Island-based health services network is seeking an experienced, licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join their team in Nassau County as a Nurse Educator / Learning & Professional Development Specialist. Responsibilities:

Facilitate staff training using instructional methods such as role playing, simulations, group discussions, videos, and lectures Train and certify AMAP students Provide medical training to program staff based on needs and quality assurance audit outcomes Deliver training on topics such as CPR, first aid, infection control, diabetes education, tube feeding, and colostomy care Administer and read Mantoux (PPD) testing, and support curriculum and procedure development as needed

Qualifications:

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing NYS Registered Nurse (RN) licensure Strong public speaking abilities Ability to work weekends as needed

Desired Skills:

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Experience in Intellectual or Developmental Disability services Prior teaching or training experience Experience with OPWDD-related training topics AMAP certification experience Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, and Zoom
