Full 1199 Union Benefits Join Our Labor & Delivery Team Jamaica Hospital Medical Center is seeking experienced and motivated Registered Nurses to join our Labor & Delivery team. As a 384-bed teaching hospital, Level I Trauma Center, and designated Stroke Center, we deliver comprehensive maternal and newborn care to a diverse, high-volume patient population in Queens, New York. Compensation & Benefits $55.92 per hour Full 1199 Union Benefits Medical, dental, and vision insurance Pension and retirement benefits Paid time off Stable full-time schedule 12-hour night shifts Overtime opportunities Professional growth and advancement opportunities Responsibilities Monitor maternal and fetal status throughout labor and delivery Interpret fetal heart rate tracings and respond appropriately Assist physicians and midwives during vaginal and cesarean deliveries Administer medications and support pain management interventions Assess patients for complications and respond to emergencies Provide patient and family education regarding labor, delivery, and postpartum care Deliver immediate newborn assessment and stabilization Support breastfeeding and postpartum recovery Maintain accurate clinical documentation Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams Qualifications Required Current New York State Registered Nurse license Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Current BCLS certification Current NRP certification Current PALS certification Electronic Fetal Monitoring Certification (C-EFM or equivalent) Strong communication, clinical assessment, and critical thinking skills Ability to work alternate weekends Preferred Previous Labor & Delivery experience Mother/Baby cross-training Experience in a high-volume obstetrical setting Will Consider Registered Nurses with a minimum of two years of Medical-Surgical experience seeking transition into Labor & Delivery Why Jamaica Hospital Medical Center?
