POSITION SUMMARY
Care for patients in Medical Oncology/Infusion.JOB DUTIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Administration of Chemotherapy and Immunotherapy & Blood Products. Must be willing to train in Radiation Oncology and physician practice as well. Float to Charge Nurse.REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
Must have a minimum of 1-year of chemotherapy administration experience. NYS Registered Nurse Licensure. BLS Certificate Required by American Heart Association. Minimum of one year cancer care. ONS Chemotherapy & Immunotherapy certification required or must be obtained within 3 months.PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
3+ years of Oncology experience. ONCC Certificate. Cerner/Power Chart EMR. Bachelors of Science in nursing degree. (Under New York State Education Law § 6905 (commonly referred to as the BSN in 10), all Registered Nurses licensed on or after June 18, 2020, must obtain a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree within 10 years of their initial RN licensure to maintain their ability to practice in the State of New York. Failure to meet this legal requirement may impact your employment status.) Prior Charge Nurse experience.Special Notes :

The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established based on relevant experience. The above salary range (or hiring range) represents SBSH's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Your total compensation goes beyond the number in your paycheck! Prior to start date, the selected candidate must meet the following requirements: Successfully complete pre-employment physical examination and obtain medical clearance from Stony Brook Southampton Hospital's Employee Health Services- Complete electronic reference check with a minimum of three (3) professional references. Successfully complete a 4 panel drug screen
- Meet Regulatory Requirements for pre-employment screenings. Provide a copy of any required New York State license(s)/certificate(s). Failure to comply with any of the above requirements could result in a delayed start date and/or revocation of the employment offer.
