Schedule/Hours:
Full-time, 40 hours per week - travel contract
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Active RN license in NY or compact state Minimum of 2 years recent clinical experience in PACU or PreOp BLS and ACLS certification required Proficiency in managing post-anesthesia care and pre-operative patient assessments Strong communication and critical thinking skills
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor patients in post-anesthesia recovery, ensuring safe transition from OR to recovery Perform comprehensive preoperative assessments and prepare patients and families for surgery Respond promptly to complications or emergencies, administering medication and interventions as needed Document all care meticulously, collaborating with physicians, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams Provide compassionate care and education to patients and their support systems
