Ideal background and experience:

Active RN license in New York Prior experience in school nursing or pediatric settings is highly valued Proficient at first aid, medication administration, and managing routine school health issues Calm and flexible in urgent or high-pressure circumstances Excellent communicator with students, families, and school personnel Able to maintain accurate health records and uphold confidentiality Key responsibilities: Respond quickly to daily and emergency student health needs Administer prescription and over-the-counter medications per protocol Track student immunizations, health screenings, and maintain thorough documentation Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student health plans and accommodations Provide health education to students and school staff on hygiene, wellness, and disease prevention Uphold all school and state health practices and policies Enjoy the security and perks of medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as a 401(k) plan.
