  • $75/hr ($2,625
  • $2,812 weekly) based on experience Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Adult Care to provide high-quality patient-centered care in both acute and post-acute healthcare settings.
The RN will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized patient care plans while collaborating closely with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams. This role requires strong clinical expertise in medical-surgical nursing, home care experience, and the ability to provide compassionate care to adult patients in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Responsibilities Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals Provide direct bedside nursing care to pre-operative and post-operative patients Administer prescribed medications and treatments while monitoring patient responses Perform wound care, infection control procedures, IV therapy, and catheter insertions Monitor patient vital signs and report changes or adverse reactions promptly Operate and adjust specialized medical equipment as needed Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams regarding discharge planning and continuity of care Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, surgical procedures, and post-care instructions Maintain accurate and timely documentation within electronic medical records Adhere to nursing standards, infection prevention protocols, and patient safety guidelines Provide home care services including traveling to patient homes within the assigned borough coverage area Participate in every other weekend coverage rotation as required Required Qualifications Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License required Primary Source Verification required Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required ACLS certification through AHA required for Queens coverage only Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution required Minimum two (2) years of recent Med/Surg experience in: Large acute care hospital settings, or Post-acute facilities and/or acute care settings Most recent nursing experience must be within the past year Home care experience required, including traveling to patient homes and providing direct patient care Strong skills in: Physical assessment Medication administration Wound care and infection control IV therapy Post-operative care Patient education Telemetry monitoring Preferred Qualifications
EPIC EMR
