• Pediatrics for an exciting Travel or Local job in Bronx, NY.

Primary Responsibilities:

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans Provide direct bedside nursing care to pre-operative and post-operative pediatric patients Administer and document prescribed medications and treatments Perform wound care, IV therapy, catheter insertion, and infection prevention procedures Monitor vital signs and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition Operate and monitor specialized medical equipment and telemetry systems Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams on care and discharge planning Educate patients and families regarding procedures, medications, and post-discharge care Maintain accurate EMR documentation and patient records Follow hospital nursing standards, protocols, and patient safety guidelines

Required Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Rehab experience in large acute care hospital setting required Most recent acute care experience within past 1 year required Strong skills in physical assessment, medication administration, and patient monitoring Experience in wound care, infection control, IV therapy, and post-operative care required Telemetry monitoring experience required Strong patient education and communication skills required Licensure /

Certification:

Active New York State RN License with Primary Source Verification required AHA BLS Certification required Associate Degree in Nursing required

Experience & Preferences:

Acute care pediatric nursing experience preferred

EPIC EMR
