Responsibilities include:

Assessing residents and monitoring changes in condition Administering medications and treatments according to physician orders Completing accurate and timely nursing documentation Communicating changes in resident condition to physicians and responsible parties Participating in the development and revision of resident Plans of Care Supervising and providing direction to STNAs and other members of the nursing team Making resident rounds to ensure care is being provided according to the resident's Plan of Care and facility policies Coordinating nursing functions for the assigned shift or unit Receiving and giving shift report to promote continuity of care Following fall prevention, abuse prevention, and other established clinical protocols Providing treatments including dressing changes, oxygen/respiratory therapy, tube feedings, and IV therapy when permitted by licensure and training Processing physician orders and communicating with physicians, families, therapy, activities, and other disciplines Supporting resident rights, dignity, preferences, and quality of life Helping educate and support nursing staff regarding policies, procedures, and resident care Maintaining confidentiality and complying with HIPAA, facility policies, and applicable State and Federal regulations Promoting teamwork, professionalism, and a positive working environment What We're Looking For Graduate of an accredited school of nursing Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license Long-term care experience preferred Knowledge of nursing principles, practices, and long-term care regulations Strong assessment, communication, organization, and time-management skills Ability to prioritize resident needs and respond appropriately to changes in condition A positive, dependable team member who believes exceptional care starts with exceptional people Be Part of an Agency-Free Team There is something different about working on a nursing team made up of people who are truly part of the facility.
