Job Description
OhioHealth is seeking a compassionate Staff RN to provide high-quality, evidence-based care within our Healthcare & Medical Services department. In this role, you will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for diverse populations across our integrated network of hospitals and ambulatory sites. The Staff RN collaborates closely with an interdisciplinary team, advocates for patient safety, and upholds regulatory and infection-prevention standards. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized plans of care Administer medications and treatments safely, following evidence-based protocols Monitor, document, and report changes in patient status using the EHRCollaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, and discharge plans Uphold infection-prevention, safety, and regulatory standards at all times Participate in quality improvement and patient experience initiatives Precept or mentor new nurses and support staff as assigned Required Skills Patient assessment and triage Care planning and care coordination IV therapy and medication administration Electronic Health Record (EHR) documentation (e.g., Epic or similar) Wound care and dressing management Telemetry and vital sign monitoring Infection prevention and control practices Patient and family education Clinical decision-making and critical thinking Basic life support and emergency response
