Job Description

Firestone Surgery Center is seeking an experienced and motivated Registered Nurse (RN) Circulator to join our team at our state-of-the-art ambulatory surgery center in Columbiana, Ohio. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated RN looking for a PRN, Part-Time or Full-Time role in a multi-specialty and fast-paced surgical setting.
Responsibilities:
Assess patient and family needs in order to provide quality care to assigned patients. Confirms that proper techniques and procedures are used according to Standards of Practice and organizational policies and procedures and prepares the Operating Room accordingly. Responsible for efficient and effective patient care and quality improvement. Effectively organizes time, equipment, supplies and personnel to provide efficient case management. Considers cost containment by using supplies economically and in effective turnover time. Maintains an adequate inventory for assigned area, including, but not limited to, equipment and supplies and assists with the ordering, receiving and storage of supplies. Demonstrates a professional manner. Participates in Quality Committee(s), Safety Training programs and completes required competencies Maintains current knowledge, certification and licensure Responsible for other duties as assigned.
Education/Licensure/Certification Requirements:
Must possess a current Ohio license as a Registered Nurse Minimum of two years OR nursing experience BLS and ACLS certifications
Preferred:
Previous ASC experience Circulating experience in the following specialties: Orthopaedics, General Surgery, Gastroenterology and Plastics PALS certification
