•7:30 AM 3 × 12-hour shifts Weekend requirements are variable. Scheduling may vary based on department staffing needs. Unit & Patient Population The unit is a 36-bed Oncology Telemetry / Progressive Care Unit , with more than 24 beds dedicated to PCU-level care . The unit has a strong focus on: Infection prevention Fall prevention High-acuity patient monitoring Cardiac monitoring Progressive care nursing Telemetry nursing Acute care nursing PCU RN Responsibilities The Progressive Care Registered Nurse (PCU RN) will provide direct patient care to high-acuity progressive care and telemetry patients.

Responsibilities include:

Perform comprehensive nursing assessments Provide direct patient care in a PCU/step-down environment Monitor high-acuity patients Interpret cardiac rhythms and dysrhythmias Recognize changes in patient condition Respond to rapid response situations Manage cardiac drips Titrate cardiac drips as appropriate Follow heparin protocols Perform central line care and management Manage PICC lines Access and manage implanted ports Perform peripheral IV care and management Start peripheral IVs Administer blood products Manage PCA pumps Manage continuous bladder irrigation (CBI) Provide feeding tube care and management Manage chest tubes Provide tracheostomy care Manage CPAP/BiPAP Manage high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC) Interpret ABGs Provide oxygen therapy via nasal cannula Monitor telemetry patients Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams Maintain infection prevention protocols Promote patient safety and fall prevention Float to units of equivalent or lower acuity when required Required PCU / Telemetry Nursing Experience Required Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience Minimum 1 year of PCU experience Recent high-acuity PCU / progressive care experience

BLS/BCLS ACLS NIH

Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Previous travel nursing experience is preferred.
