Hours Every Third Weekend & Holiday Commitment Required Duration:

8 Weeks (High possibility of extension or permanent placement)

Position Overview:

Seeking an experienced RN

• 2S Renal to provide specialized nursing care within a 24-bed renal/medical-surgical unit focused on kidney disease and transplant patients.

The RN will deliver evidence-based care, collaborate with nephrology and transplant teams, and support patients throughout the kidney transplant continuum.

Responsibilities:

Provide nursing care for renal, transplant, and medical/surgical patients Perform holistic patient assessments (physical, psychosocial, spiritual, educational) Monitor and report changes in patient condition Develop and implement individualized care plans with interdisciplinary teams Administer medications, treatments, and dialysis-related care Perform peritoneal dialysis (manual and cycler methods) Support kidney transplant and post-transplant care processes Use SBAR for standardized communication Participate in discharge planning and patient/family education Ensure compliance with infection control and safety standards Float to other units as needed Provide remote telemetry monitoring support as required

Requirements:

Medical/Surgical or Renal nursing experience preferred Kidney transplant experience preferred Peritoneal dialysis experience preferred Ability to work nights, holidays, and every third weekend required Floating between units required Strong understanding of evidence-based nursing care required Diploma in Nursing required BSN preferred Active Ohio RN License or Compact License required BLS Certification required Renal/dialysis certification preferred For more details contact at or Call / Text at 516-862-1169.
