Job Description

Wound Care Nurse RN (Registered Nurse)
Responsibilities:
Provides physician ordered wound care/treatment to all residents. Documents information pertinent to the wounds: size, depth, observations, response to treatment and description of wound. Communicates and updates staff and the Interdisciplinary Team, as required. May be required to hold weekly wound assessment meeting. Administers medication to residents as needed. May be required to transfer or assist to transfer residents as needed. Stocks and prepares medication/treatment cart for rounds. May be required to assist physicians on rounds. May be required to complete assessment forms under the direction of an R.N. Required to assess and track all wounds for Quality Assurance purposes. May need to notify physician to report a change in condition of a resident. Completes weekly resident feet audits. Assists nurses on units when requested. Provides any other nursing duties deemed appropriate by a supervisor. Do all things necessary for the resident's health, safety and welfare. All other duties as assigned by supervisor. Responsibilities:
Six months prior experience as a nurse in a long-term care facility. Must hold a current license in the State of Ohio as an LPN or RN.
