This position will work every Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. This position will consist of full-time Treatment and Nurse Supervisor. Must be a Registered Nurse, RN. The Wound Treatment Nurse (RN) plays a critical role in providing specialized nursing care to residents, ensuring that all care is delivered in accordance with physician prescriptions, nursing practice standards, and regulatory requirements. This position is integral to the healthcare team, working under the guidance of the Director of Nursing Services. The nurse will be responsible for assessing residents' skin conditions, documenting progress, and notifying physicians of any changes or new issues. This position will also be a Nurse Supervisor Role. The role requires a strong commitment to patient care, adherence to infection control policies, and participation in educational activities for both residents and staff. The Wound Treatment Nurse will also be involved in the development and revision of care plans, ensuring that each resident receives personalized and effective treatment for their wound care needs. Qualifications Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing and currently licensed by the State or hold a multistate license recognized through the Nursing Compact Recognition Must hold and maintain a current CPR certification Wound Certification preferable (WCC, WOCN) Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance Experience in developing care plans Previous experience in wound care nursing Responsibilities The Wound Treatment Nurse (RN) plays a critical role in providing specialized nursing care to residents, ensuring that all care is delivered in accordance with physician prescriptions, nursing practice standards, and regulatory requirements This position is integral to the healthcare team, working under the guidance of the Director of Nursing Services The nurse will be responsible for assessing residents' skin conditions, documenting progress, and notifying physicians of any changes or new issues The role requires a strong commitment to patient care, adherence to infection control policies, and participation in educational activities for both residents and staff The Wound Treatment Nurse will also be involved in the development and revision of care plans, ensuring that each resident receives personalized and effective treatment for their wound care needs In addition to direct patient care, the Wound Treatment Nurse will assist with the admission and discharge processes of residents, ensuring a smooth transition and continuity of care The nurse will also be expected to provide education on wound care protocols and interventions, contributing to the overall training and development of the facility's staff Document resident progress in the medical record Notify physician of new skin condition problems, changes of skin condition, and when skin conditions heal and document in resident's plan of care Develop, update and revise care plans when appropriate Follow Infection Control policies and procedures Assist with admission and discharge of residents Participate in patient education, Licensed Staff meetings and facility/company training and educational activities Provide or assist with providing education to staff on wound care protocols, treatments, interventions Follow facility policy and procedure for treatment and documentation of skin concerns
