Category Nursing - RN-NICU Job Type Contract Provide compassionate care to newborns in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) setting, utilizing specialized knowledge and skills as a Registered Nurse (RN). This role is suited for professionals experienced in providing high-quality care to critically ill infants while supporting families during challenging times.
Qualifications & Experience:
Active and unrestricted RN license Minimum of one year experience in a Level III or IV NICU Proficiency in neonatal assessments, interventions, and monitoring Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) required Strong critical thinking, multitasking, and communication skills Ability to work collaboratively with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare team members Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) is an asset
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct patient care to critically ill neonates, including administering medications, managing ventilators, and performing necessary procedures Monitor, document, and report changes in patient condition Provide emotional support and education to families, ensuring their involvement in the care process Maintain a safe and clean environment according to hospital standards and infection control protocols Collaborate in the development and implementation of individualized care plans
