This opportunity seeks a dedicated Registered Nurse with a background in Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) settings. You'll work alongside a skilled healthcare team, supporting young patients and their families through critical and often complex health challenges. Your contributions will be essential in delivering compassionate, proficient care during this contract-based assignment.
Desired Qualifications:
Valid RN license At least one year of recent experience in a PICU environment Current BLS and PALS certifications Strong clinical assessment skills with critical thinking abilities Effective communication skills for collaboration with interdisciplinary teams and family members Compassionate bedside manner and strong patient advocacy
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and assess critically ill pediatric patients, adjusting care plans as needed Administer medications, IV therapies, and other life-sustaining treatments according to physician orders Accurately document patient status, interventions, and responses in the medical record Respond promptly to emergency situations, initiating appropriate interventions Provide education and emotional support to patient families during challenging times Collaborate with specialized providers, respiratory therapists, and ancillary staff to ensure comprehensive care
