What they do
A Cardiology Registered Nurse provides care for patients with heart problems. Performs cardiac tests and assessments, educates patients and families about cardiac disease and preventative health care, and cares for patients after heart surgery. Works with specialized monitoring and treatment equipment. Trained to provide emergency medical care to cardiac patients. Works under the supervision of a physician. Works in hospital cardiology or intensive care units or cardiac rehabilitation programs.

Job Description
- Fri, 8 am
- 5 pm; weeknight call 3 pm
- 7 am Weekend 24-hour onsite with floor or OR call Rounds on approximately 20
- 26 adult and geriatric patients Inpatient and outpatient
- cardiothoracic and vascular surgery First assist in cardiothoracic and vascular procedures Endoscopic vein harvesting and vascular tissue retrieval required Ongoing coverage
