Overview Behavioral Health Choices (BHC) is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to provide medical oversight and direct patient care within our withdrawal management, mental health, and addiction treatment programs. This position supports clinical teams across multiple BHC locations on an as-needed basis. The RN will report to the Program Supervisor for employment-related matters and collaborate closely with the Medical Manager regarding patient medical concerns. This role is ideal for a team-oriented nurse who is passionate about behavioral health and recovery-focused care. Duties Provide nursing assessments, interventions, and direct patient care for individuals in withdrawal management and mental health/addiction treatment. Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and assess overall health status, reporting changes to appropriate medical staff. Collaborate with the Medical Manager and clinical team to develop and implement individualized care plans. Perform medication counts, urine drug screens, and other medical oversight activities in accordance with safety protocols. Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, coping strategies, and recovery resources. Provide crisis intervention and support patients through withdrawal and recovery using de-escalation and therapeutic techniques. Participate in case management, discharge planning, and interdisciplinary team meetings. Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with agency policies and regulatory standards. Utilize electronic health records and videoconferencing tools as applicable. Assist patients with clinic navigation and provide general clinical support as needed. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited program. Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Ohio. Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience preferred, ideally in mental health, addiction treatment, or a related healthcare setting. Strong clinical assessment skills and effective communication abilities. Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care. Intermediate proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and videoconferencing tools. Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft applications, email, fax, and internet use.
