You'll contribute to a dynamic environment in a cutting-edge Cardiac OR suite, broadening your expertise through collaboration with seasoned professionals and exposure to innovative procedures including CABG, TAVRs, VATs, and open-heart surgeries. Schedule:
Day shift,
Monday-Friday:
6:30am-3:00pm (8-hour preferred), occasional 5:30am start Possible 10-hour shifts (6:30am-5:00pm)
Call:
Rotating schedule, approx. 10-12 shifts per 6 weeks, including 1-2 weekends and weekdays; 30-minute call response (call rooms available)
Required Skills & Experience:
Current RN license (or compact) Minimum 2 years of cardiac nursing experience and 1-2 years of general OR BLS, ACLS, and NIH certification required Dysrhythmia Exam (study guide provided) Previous travel RN experience strongly preferred Ability to circulate for general procedures when needed
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive perioperative patient assessments Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to implement and evaluate care plans Serve as a point of contact and safety advocate Delegate and coordinate tasks to promote patient safety Maintain aseptic technique, monitor sterile fields, and manage surgical equipment Provide patient education and discharge instructions Why Choose This Assignment?
