Full Job Description Role Summary:
Provides, documents, and evaluates nursing care for correctional health patients based on individual needs, provider's orders, and established nursing standards. Supervises assigned nursing staff, observes and reports patient conditions, and maintains accurate documentation of care, including treatment responses. Ensures adherence to the mission, values, and customer service standards of the health system.
Qualifications & Skills:
Graduate of an accredited nursing program with current RN licensure in Ohio. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtained within 90 days. Knowledge of nursing theory, medical sciences, and asepsis principles. Proficiency with medical instruments, equipment, and supplies. Ability to foster positive working relationships and demonstrate physical coordination and dexterity.
Preferred:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing, correctional health care experience, and certifications such as CCN or CCHP.
Key Duties:
Deliver comprehensive nursing care tailored to correctional patients. Supervise and coordinate nursing personnel activities. Assess, monitor, and report patient health status. Maintain thorough, timely documentation of patient care and responses. Comply with safety protocols, infection control, and health regulations.
