Category Schools - RN Nurse Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting a student as a 1:1 school nurse. This unique position empowers you to make a meaningful impact, working directly with a student to ensure their health and well-being throughout the school day. Starting in October, you'll provide individualized nursing care 1-2 days per week from 8:00 AM to 12:15 PM, transitioning in January to a consistent weekday schedule at the same hours.

Essential Qualifications:

Unrestricted RN license and eligibility to practice as a school nurse Previous experience in a school, pediatrics, or similar setting is highly valued Ability to assess, monitor, and document medical needs with compassion and discretion Comfortable collaborating with teachers, aides, and families for holistic student care CPR and First Aid certification required Adaptable, dependable, and committed to supporting students with special medical needs

Key Responsibilities:

Provide one-on-one nursing care to a student during school hours Monitor and respond to ongoing medical needs, administering interventions as necessary Gather relevant medical information and maintain thorough records in compliance with school protocols Communicate clearly with school staff and family regarding the student's health and care plan Participate in meetings and brainstorming sessions to support the student's evolving needs and the possibility of expanding service hours You'll join a supportive, collaborative school environment where your skills are truly valued.
