Job Description

Kettering Health Network is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to provide patient-centered care across inpatient and outpatient settings in the Greater Dayton area. In this role, you will perform comprehensive assessments, administer medications and treatments, monitor patient status, and collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to deliver evidence-based, Christ-centered care. RNs will educate patients and families, support discharge planning, and uphold safety and quality standards. Responsibilities Provide holistic, evidence-based nursing care to diverse patient populations in inpatient and outpatient settings. Perform comprehensive assessments, develop individualized care plans, and evaluate patient responses to treatment. Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments safely, following hospital policies and protocols. Monitor patient status, recognize changes in condition, and initiate appropriate interventions or escalate care. Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate high-quality, patient-centered care. Educate patients and families on diagnosis, treatments, medications, discharge plans, and self-care strategies. Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the Electronic Health Record (EHR). Support safe discharge planning, care transitions, and referrals to community resources. Uphold infection control, patient safety, and quality standards aligned with regulatory and organizational guidelines.
