Job Description

Category Nursing - RN - Cath Lab Job Type Contract A rewarding opportunity awaits skilled Registered Nurses with Cath Lab experience seeking a contract assignment in a dynamic healthcare setting. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in performing and assisting with cardiac catheterizations, electrophysiology procedures, and related interventions while delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Schedule/Hours:
Travel position Flexible scheduling may be available based on departmental needs
Key Qualifications:
Active, unrestricted RN license Minimum of 2 years' recent experience working in a Cath Lab Proven proficiency in cardiac procedures, including pre-, intra-, and post-procedure care Advanced knowledge of cardiac monitoring, EKG interpretation, and emergency response protocols Current BLS and ACLS certifications Strong communication and critical thinking skills Adaptability and professionalism in high-pressure situations Experience with both adult and geriatric patient populations preferred Previous travel assignment experience is a plus
Primary Duties:
Assist physicians during cardiac catheterization, angioplasty, pacemaker/ICD insertions, and electrophysiology studies Monitor patients' conditions and vital signs before, during, and after procedures Operate and troubleshoot specialized Cath Lab equipment Prepare sterile fields, administer medications as needed, and maintain detailed documentation Provide pre-procedure education and post-procedure recovery care Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, efficient patient care Uphold strict infection control and safety practices at all times
