Job Description

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
: Under general supervision of the Director of Nursing and Assistant Director of Nursing, assist in planning and implementing public health nursing activities in health clinics and public health nursing programs. Duties may include, but not limited to: all aspects of preparing, administering, and education regarding vaccines in childhood and adult immunization clinics; Get Vaccinated Ohio grant implementation; school health collaboration activities; infectious disease surveillance and control; serve as a resource advisor; assist in the development of goals, objectives, and infrastructures for the division; and respond to Public Health Emergencies when required. Responsibilities may be modified or assigned as organizational needs change.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
: An active Ohio Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse license; a minimum of two years of nursing experience or six months or more of public health experience preferred. Current Healthcare Provider CPR Certification. The ability to uphold standards related to HIPPA, OSHA, and universal precautions. A valid Ohio Driver's License and auto liability insurance required. Must be detail oriented, organized, possess strong oral and written communication skills and listening skills, excellent time management and able to multi-task, strong customer service skills, and a team player. Proficient in Microsoft Office and a basic knowledge of electronic medical record systems necessary. Must be able to lift and carry object weighing up to 20 pounds unassisted and up to 50 pounds with assistance.

EMPLOYMENT STATUS
Full Time (40 hours per week)
PAY RANGE
Starting rate $21.20 per hour RN/ $18.56 per hour LPN. Rates may be negotiable based on experience and certifications.
