Job Description

Category Nursing - RN - CVOR Job Type Travel Experience vibrant Warren, OH, a community that pairs Midwestern hospitality with plenty to explore after your shifts—from the historic charm of downtown to beautiful nearby parks. As a travel nurse here, you'll not only gain exposure to advanced cardiac surgical procedures but also broaden your perspective working with a diverse and highly skilled surgical team. Schedule/Hours:
Day shift, Monday-Friday 6:30am-3:00pm (8-hour shift preferred), some 10-hour shifts Flexible start times (as early as 5:30am based on case load)
On-call:
About 10-12 call shifts per 6 weeks, including 1-2 weekends and 1-2 weekdays 30-minute call turnaround; call rooms available
Qualifications:
Active RN license (state-specific or compact) Minimum 2 years cardiac operating room experience and at least 1-2 years of general OR BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications required; CNOR or SGNA preferred Completion of Dysrhythmia Exam (study guide provided) Strong interpersonal, assessment, and critical-thinking skills Prior travel experience is preferred
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver comprehensive perioperative nursing—from assessment and planning to intraoperative support and discharge education Circulate cardiac and general surgical procedures, including CABG and TAVRs Anticipate and fulfill the needs of both the scrub nurse and surgical team Maintain sterile environments and adhere to safety protocols Mentor, educate, and coordinate with team members to promote exemplary patient care Respond quickly and effectively to emergencies, advocating patient safety
