Job Description

Hillcrest HealthCare System in Tulsa, OK is seeking a Registered Nurse for our busy Emergency Room. The ER RN will triage and provide rapid, evidence-based care to diverse patient populations, from minor injuries to critical emergencies. Responsibilities include assessments, medication administration, IV therapy, cardiac monitoring, and collaboration with physicians and multidisciplinary teams. RNs support patient and family education, follow strict safety and infection-control standards, and contribute to a compassionate, team-oriented, learning-focused environment across our regional health network. Responsibilities Provide triage and rapid assessments for ER patients across all acuity levels Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments per provider orders and protocols Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and patient responses to interventions Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans Educate patients and families on diagnosis, treatment, and discharge instructions Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) Adhere to safety, infection-control, and quality standards in a fast-paced environment Participate in continuing education, skills development, and performance improvement initiatives Required Skills Emergency nursing Triage and rapid assessment IV placement and medication administration Cardiac monitoring Wound care and splinting Electronic Medical Records (EMR) Patient and family education Care coordination Infection control practices Basic life support and advanced resuscitation
