Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive psychiatric and risk assessments for diverse patient populations Administer and monitor psychotropic medications, documenting responses and side effects Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members on treatment goals Provide crisis intervention, de-escalation, and support in acute situations Deliver patient and family education on diagnoses, medications, and coping strategies Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in the EHRPromote a safe, therapeutic milieu in accordance with policy and regulatory standards Participate in treatment team meetings, care coordination, and discharge planning Adhere to evidence-based practices, HIPAA, and all safety and compliance requirements Required Skills Psychiatric nursing assessment Medication administration and monitoring (psychotropics) Crisis intervention and de-escalation Care planning and clinical documentation Suicide/self-harm risk assessment Behavioral health nursing protocols Therapeutic communication Patient and family education Electronic Health Records (EHR) proficiency Knowledge of DSM-5 and common psychiatric diagnoses
