2 Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring 2 years of experience and a compact or OK RN license. Details Hospital-based Labor and Delivery (LDRPN) unit setting Provides care for expectant mothers and newborns before, during, and immediately after childbirth Assists with monitoring maternal and fetal vital signs, pain management including epidurals, and vaginal or surgical deliveries Educates families on postpartum recovery Night shift schedule from 18:30 to 07:00 Up to 6 weekend shifts required as needed per department needs Holiday coverage required as needed per department needs 13-week assignment length Requirements Active RN license (Standard or Compact/OK) currently in hand Current BLS certification from AHA NRP certification from AHA/American Academy of Pediatrics preferred Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience required Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start Primary source license verification required within 30 days prior to start Additional Information Implements and monitors patient care plans, documenting and communicating patient condition Serves as primary coordinator across disciplines for well-coordinated patient care Carries out physician and nursing orders and assesses discharge planning needs Requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision in a stressful environment Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required Radius rule applies, allowing local candidates at a reduced rate depending on distance from facilityBenefits
