Responsibilities Provide direct emergency nursing care to patients of all ages in a fast-paced ER setting Triage patients, perform rapid assessments, and prioritize care based on acuity Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments according to physician orders and protocols Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and patient responses; intervene in emergencies Assist with procedures such as wound care, splinting, and resuscitation efforts Collaborate with physicians, techs, and interdisciplinary team to coordinate safe, timely care Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the medical record Educate patients and families on treatments, discharge instructions, and follow-up care Adhere to infection control, safety, and regulatory standards in all clinical activities Support a culture of compassion, professionalism, and continuous quality improvement Required Skills Emergency nursing Triage assessment IV insertion and therapy Medication administration Cardiac and rhythm monitoring ACLS protocols PALS or pediatric emergency care Wound care and splinting Electronic medical record (EMR) documentation Infection prevention and control
